Step 1: Go to your Gemini API Settings

Log into your Gemini account. Click the account menu drop down from the top right of the page, and when the menu is visible click "Settings".

Then on the left side of the screen, click "API" to navigate to the API settings page.

Step 2: Create an API key

Click "Create A New API Key" to open the interface for creating a new API key that will allow Coygo Terminal to view or manage your accounts.

Create a new API key. Make sure the "Scope" is set to "Primary", then click "Create a New API Key".

Step 3: Record the credentials and select permission settings

This screen will give you your API key and API secret. These will act as credentials to allow the Coygo application to interact with your account. Store both the "API KEY" and "API SECRET" somewhere safe so that you will have access to it later. You can enter whatever you want in the "API KEY NAME" box, but we recommend calling it "Coygo".

Below that we see four check boxes, in the "API KEY SETTINGS" section. You can select how much permission you want to give Coygo, depending on what functionality you want supported in Coygo.

Auditor - If you only want Coygo to be able to read your account balances and provide a Portfolio Overrview, check this box and only this box.

Fund Management - If you want Coygo to be able to help you with transferring funds between your accounts, check this box.

Trading - If you want Coygo to be able to help you place and manage orders, check this box.

  - Below this is another checkbox titled "Require session heartbeat". Leave this unchecked.

Finally, check "Yes, I have copied and pasted my API secret to a safe place" and then click the "Confirm" button.

Step 4: Enter into Coygo

In the Coygo application, navigate to the "Exchanges" screen, click the Gemini logo, and follow the on-screen instructions to enter your Gemini API Key and API Secret.
